After seeing the Torsen Differential material in lecture, I went on looking thru various videos explaining a range of transmission systems. I remembered clips on Continuously Variable Transmission systems, where a set of tapered surfaces are adjusted to change the effective diameter of one of the shafts on the system. However, there are many other approaches used in modern vehicles and I wanted to look at some of these complex systems. I found this really cool video on YouTube, that explains how a multi-stage transmission works.
